1.1 - Life and Stuff

I was playing with yarn this morning and wondering how much it would cost to buy the complete series, so I clicked on Amazon.  Currently, you can watch all 9 seasons with Prime.  Yay!  This is going to be an adventure for later though, while I am in Korea, so I hope they keep it available for a while.  Still, I wanted to post a note today, to get things started.

The first episode made me wonder why some of these jokes are funny.  I thought the family was rather rude to each other.  Why did Roseanne throw DJ's shoe across the room when she just told him to be careful not to spill the milk?  Why does Dan swing his leg over the chair?  How did they patch up Darlene's finger so quick?  That was a lot of blood on the napkin.  And that boat does not look big enough for two people to sail around the world.  Just saying.

Perhaps later I will actually delve into an analysis of American Society and Culture.  I really just wanted to have a cool story to share about how/why I made an afghan:
